MYPAS Service Update

Alongside telephone support and zoom calls, we can now offer outdoor one to ones at a physical distance. This can be in a place where the young person feels comfortable- somewhere local to them that they can easily access, or their back garden. We have been making the most of the Scottish Summer, and have already met young people for walks, met young people in their back garden, and gone for a cycle, or a run.

Our Project Workers provide friendly, confidential and non-judgmental support. We have funding for two projects in East Lothian:

Drug and Alcohol Service

The project is aimed at providing one to one support for young people aged 12-19 who want harm reduction advice, information and support about drugs and alcohol use and risk-taking.

LGBT + Service

Support for young people aged between 12-21 who identify as LGBT+. One to ones are a safe, supportive space for young people to express how they feel, explore their life experiences and relationships, and engage in practical ways to improve their wellbeing. Weekly LGBT+ online groups offer a friendly space for young people to socialise and make new friends, gain support from peers and supportive MYPAS staff, take part in activities and discussions, and have fun.
