How VCEL fits into the local structure
Our role is to help enable the third sector to actively contribute to both the East Lothian Partnership (community planning) and the local Health and Social Care Partnership.
The East Lothian Partnership is a group of public, private and third sector organisations working together to achieve the East Lothian Plan 2017-2027. This involves focusing on reducing local inequalities, tackling poverty and working to prevent problems escalating.
The Health and Social Care Partnership is headed by the Integrated Joint Board, and aims to ensure health and social care services apply joined up thinking and working practices when considering local community and individual needs alongside available resources.
