Scottish Government: First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will give an update tomorrow (Tuesday) on lockdown measures and consider "other steps" that can be taken to keep the virus under control.

NHS Lothian: NHS Lothian have created some short films giving Covid-19 advice in different languages. Please find the link below.  They are still doing some work to the website however the films are clearly labelled with the language.  Languages available are: Urdu; Cantonese; Arabic; Bengali; Mandarin; Polish; Kurdish; English and BSL. Vaccination: Can I force employees to be vaccinated? The Government has made clear that they will not be forcing people to have the vaccine and Law at Work would recommend that most employers take a similar stance. VACCINATION
 
UK workers' rights post-Brexit: Leaving the EU has meant that the UK is no longer under the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice, nor is it technically bound by EU Directives and Regulations, albeit these are largely implemented in our domestic legislation and are thereby retained. Handicabs: FREE Vaccine Transport for people with mobility challenges.  Handicabs are delighted to share that we will be offering FREE transport for people with mobility challenges to get their vaccine. You do not need to be registered with HcL already. Any person who has challenges with getting out and about due to age, disability, heath issues (short-term or long-term), additional support needs or geographic remoteness is eligible to use the service. The Promise Partnership Fund: Care-experienced young people will be at the heart of a £4 million fund to help improve the lives of those in or on the edges of care.  The Promise Partnership Fund will help organisations to implement changes so they can better support children, young people and families who need it. Private, public and third sector organisations can apply and care-experienced young people will assist in the final funding decisions. Talk, Learn, Do:  Children in Scotland's new programme, Talk, Learn, Do, which provides free training to practioners to help parents/carers speak to their children about money, is now open for bookings. Alongside the free training (3.5 hours online), we provide practitioners with a toolkit and free resources for parents. The online training will enable practitioners to deliver the Talk, Learn, Do workshop, full of engaging activities to enable parents to teach their children to develop positive money habits. This training course provides skills for those with no financial capability training and offers new approaches for those who have already worked in this field. TALK LEARN DO
 
Get Outdoors Learning Event:  Getting outdoors is SO beneficial for people living with dementia and for unpaid carers. How can we encourage their participation in a range of outdoor activities? Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) is conducting research to help ensure equitable distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine, among all those who need it and would like your help to complete this short survey. The deadline for completion of the survey is: Friday 19th February SURVEY
