Annual ELHSCP grant-funding process is now open
The East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership (ELHSCP) grant funding process is now open for community and voluntary organisations. We will be awarding grant funding that supports the development of health and social care services and the promotion of social welfare within East Lothian. Grant funding is available for project activities between 1st April 2021 and 31st March 2022.
We have a particular interest in funding applications for projects that help to deliver Community Led Support but we will look at all applications with interest. We would welcome applications from new applicants and innovative projects.
East Lothian Integration Joint Board (IJB) Chair Councillor Fiona O’Donnell says:
‘We fund community and voluntary organisations every year. In 2019.20, we allocated £xxx, xxx.
‘We award this funding to groups who demonstrate clearly that they can work in partnership with us to help deliver the East Lothian IJB’s strategic objectives, themselves developed after extensive engagement with staff, partners, national policy makers and communities.
‘As I am sure you will appreciate, the impact of Covid-19 means that our funding resources this year are less than in previous years. We will have to award funding wisely and well, in line with strict criteria, to ensure that we get the best value for our communities.
‘We are very much looking forward to receiving grant applications from the voluntary sector and local community groups. We are particularly interested in proposals that are values-driven and community focused in terms of outcomes. We are also keen that projects empower staff and offer a true partnership with local people. This opens up the field for applications from new groups and innovative approaches.
‘I would advise any group that is thinking of applying to read our online guidance carefully – just go to www.eastlothian.gov.uk/elhscpgrants
‘The closing date is 30 November so please make sure that your application is in by then.’
