Energy Advice Service

Changeworks East Lothian Energy Advice service which is funded by East Lothian Council to provide energy advice and support to vulnerable people.

As we are spending more time at home because of COVID-19, many householders may see increases in their energy bills as well as a decrease in income. Energy Advice service can help them:

  • access emergency credits and funds (including Redress voucher for those with pre-payment metres who are at risk of disconnection)

  • to reduce their gas and electricity bills

  • to manage fuel debt

  • by talking to the energy companies on their behalf

  • switch to a cheaper supplier

  • understand their heating and electricity bills

  • Apply for any eligible discounts from their energy supplier

Energy Advice service want to be able to reach clients who may be struggling and unaware of our free and impartial support services. Our advisors are available 9am–5pm Monday to Friday.

If any of your clients would like help or advice you can make a referral using the online link in the first instance - https://www.changeworks.org.uk/referral, phone Changeworks on 0131 555 4010 or email warmth@changeworks.org.uk.
