The Basics: A Human Rights and Equalities First Approach

This is a free course delivered by Third Sector Human Rights and Equalities (THRE), open to anyone working in Scotland's Third Sector. It takes place over Zoom and a Zoom link will be emailed to you via Eventbrite within your order confirmation and two days before the session.

Please note, this is a two-day course occurring on 20th and 21st May at 2pm - 4pm both days.

About this course

This course is all about the basics, it’s for people who are just starting out and want to learn the fundamentals or who know a bit about human rights and equalities and want to know more or are just curious about what a human rights and equalities first approach might be?

Join THRE to learn:

  • About human rights and equalities - what are they, and why do they matter?

  • What a human rights and equalities first approach is and why it is relevant to you and your organisation.

  • How we can start a conversation and talk constructively about human rights and equalities.

Our two half-day training session will introduce you to THRE’s Human Rights and Equalities First Approach and provide practical steps to start or continue your human rights and equalities journey.

The course takes place online via Zoom and is for anyone working in Scotland’s third sector. It will run from 2pm - 4pm on 20th and 21st May. Please use the same Zoom link for both days.

We strive to make all of our training sessions accessible. Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs when you book your place.

Please note, if a significant number of people from a single organisation register to attend the same training session, we may be in contact to seek alternative options.
