Haddington Meeting Centre Workshop

  • The Maitlandfield House Hotel 24 Sidegate Haddington, Scotland, EH41 4BZ United Kingdom (map)

The second Haddington Meeting Centre Workshop is happening on January 16th from 10am - 12 noon.

Meeting Centres are social clubs which offer on-going warm and friendly expert support to improve the quality of life for people with mild to moderate dementia, families and friends. They help people adjust to living with the symptoms and changes that dementia brings. Meeting Centres are a resource, providing support for people with early to mid-stage dementia and care-partners, based on evidence of what works. Originally developed in the Netherlands, Meeting Centres are now growing around the world.

There is currently a meeting centre in Musselburgh, which you can find out more about on Dementia Friendly East Lothian’s website.

There are now conversations happening around opening a meeting centre in Haddington. If you would like to be involved, or if you have any questions, please contact Sue at Sue@dfel.org.uk .
