Be report writing ready

Been asked to write a report at work, but don’t know where to start? On completion of this online course, participants will be able to produce an effective and reader-friendly report, identify what to include and leave out of the report, use their time more productively to produce the report and have more confidence in their own role of reporter.

The aim of this online course is to give you the tools to produce a basic report.

Course objectives

This online course with John Bonnar covers all you need to plan, structure and write effective and informative reports. You will gain the skills and confidence to produce reports for today’s demanding workplace, helping you to write quickly, accurately and clearly.

Practical exercises and discussion throughout will give you a toolkit to use when report writing so you will be able to:

  • identifying the elements of an effective report

  • plan a report

  • develop the structure

  • decide on the content

  • identify the audience and use appropriate language

  • understand appendices and references and

  • overcome "writer’s block".

This online course is aimed at anyone who has to produce written reports; to inform, advise and feedback on organisational operations and tasks.
