Waste

“All waste/recycling collection services are suspended today due to the continued weather impact. Recycling Centres will remain closed at present. The situation will be reviewed as the day progresses and an update on recovery provided ASAP. Where safe to do so please leave out your bin/box/caddy.”

It is advised would advise that the care for the vulnerable during this bad weather continues and you may ask your groups to complete the small tasks you are aware of such as clearing paths, obtaining messages and checking on those who may suffer most from cold conditions.

The Emergency Coordination Centre (ECC) will not open at Penston House due to COVID 19 and social distancing. However the Resilient Communities mailbox    resilientcommunities@eastlothian.gov.uk   remains live and Scott Kennedy. The 24/7 Contact Centre remains open and should be the first port of call at this stage for any immediate requests for assistance that you are unable to deal with yourself.
