Test and Protect: Test and Protect is Scotland’s way of putting into practice the test, trace, isolate, support strategy. It will prevent the spread of coronavirus in the community by: identifying cases of coronavirus through testing;
tracing the people who may have become infected by spending time in close contact with them; supporting those close contacts to self-isolate, so that if they have the disease they are less likely transmit it to others. More information here: TEST & PROTECT For the health and safety of the customers and staff, venues will need to record your:• name • contact telephone number • date of your visit • time of arrival and departure. Stop It Now! Scotland is a child protection charity dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse. Since 2008 they have been providing confidential support services to individuals and families to protect the next child from harm and help prevent child sexual abuse. To enhance this work, Stop It Now Scotland have created an Upstream Prevention pack using the knowledge and experience they have gained over the past 12 years of working to keep children safe from harm. Gender Based Violence: Disabled people and women with learning disabilities in particular are at a greater risk of experiencing Gender-based Violence. Video conferencing scam: Cyber criminals are trying to scam users of video communications platforms by sending out Phishinge mails and Smishing texts, claiming to be from a video communications platform provider. These
message formats claim to inform the recipient that they have a voicemail with relevant informationabout their account and to reply on an associated telephone number to retrieve the voicemail and alleged account information. VIDEO CONFERENCING SCAM

Red Cross Hardship Fund: The Hardship Fund was created by the British Red Cross with support from our valued strategic partner Aviva to help those most financially impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. The fund aims to address acute hardship and suffering to the those who are vulnerable, providing a short-term financial safety net for people most impacted by the pandemic. The Hardship Fund provides individuals or families with grants of £120 on a prepaid cash card. This can be individual one off grants, or multiple grants over a period of up to three months. 12 Guitars: From July to September 2020, Glasgow-based social enterprise 12 Guitars will be giving away 12 guitars to 12 individuals or organisations in Scotland and beyond. Although our primary focus is on enabling young people to access guitars and tuition, we are broadening our focus for this campaign to cover all ages. The guitars will be a mix of types and styles and will include acoustic guitars, classical guitars, electric guitars and bass guitars. Scottish Government Survey: The Scottish Government is keen to develop understanding of how national measures and local effort are supporting those at risk due to Covid-19, to inform consideration of future support options. They are reaching out to local third sector partners to gather information about the kind of groups that they have been supporting and the types of support they have been providing during the crisis, as well as for their views on partnership working during this period and what they think future needs might be.The online survey is now open until 7 August.
