Amber Weather Warning - Extreme Heat - Met Office update on Sunday 17th July for Monday & Tuesday

Please note that the Amber weather warning for Extreme Heat has now been expanded to included East Lothian as per the e-mail from the MET Office below (I have highlighted the main implications for East Lothian).

As mentioned in my previous e-mail impacts from this are mostly to be health-related, although there is the potential for transport infrastructure to suffer as well as secondary impacts such as unsociable behaviour and increased risk of wildfires.

The Council website has been updated as follows to provide advice to the public and please also keep an eye on our Social Media feeds for further updates to share within your groups:
