Access to care and capacity of services provided at Riverside Medical Practice

On the 19 April 2022, the East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) announced an independent external review would take place to assess patient concerns regarding access to care and capacity of services provided at Riverside Medical Practice in Musselburgh. 

The independent review is designed to gather patient feedback and consider how the practice provides access to its services.  The purpose of the review is to:

  • Listen and understand the views of the patients;

  • Explore the models for providing patient access;

  • Look at the current assessment and triaging systems;

  • Consider the current clinical capacity within the practice and the Health and Social Care Partnership.
