Musselburgh Area Partnership Active Travel Sub Group
The Musselburgh Area Partnership (MAP) Active Travel Sub Group meets every three months or so to discuss issues around cycling, wheeling and walking in the town. It is made up of MAP members, relevant council officers and interested members of the public. It looks at and makes comments on current council and other initiatives and identifies needs for other interventions and actions which will improve access and safety. We are seeking new members of the public to join us who are regular cyclists or walkers in the town and have an interest in improving facilities, and in particular young people who are currently unrepresented. The next meeting is on March 7th at 6 pm in the Musselburgh East Community Centre, Haddington Road. Subjects for discussion will include issues at Old Craighall and how to make Musselburgh more pedestrian friendly. Anyone who would like to get involved with us should email Barry Turner, the group's chairman, at barry.turner2108@gmail.com so that we can put you on the mailing list and get relevant papers to you.
