COVID-19 and Scottish Charities – Your Voice Matters

In May OSCR asked all Scottish charities to complete a survey on the impact of COVID-19 and the restrictions. Almost 5,000 charities took the opportunity to share their views. The findings were invaluable. They provided crucial information that has been shared widely to inform our guidance and help us work with others, including the Scottish Government, to shape the wider response to the crisis.

Since the initial survey, the situation has moved on considerably and OSCR would like to take another snapshot of the sector to give Scotland’s 25,000 charities the opportunity to provide an up-to-date picture.

The results will:

  • provide important indicators of what is happening across the charity sector

  • help identify the different impacts the pandemic is having on different sizes and types of charity

  • supply vital information to local and national government, funders and other bodies to inform policy development and support charities in these uncertain times

  • help us shape the regulatory work.

OSCR would to hear from as many charities as possible, the survey will close at midnight on 15 November 2020.

If you are the contact for a number of charities, please choose to reply on behalf of the charity you know best.
