Coronavirus and Third Sector: Registration now open for 18-29 year olds for vaccine appointments

NHS Lothian is inviting all 18-29 year olds in the area to register online or by phone before Friday, 4 June, to get details of their COVID-19 vaccine appointment sent to them by email or text.  Those not registering will be sent their appointment details by letter at a later date. Please raise awareness of this with 18-29 year old staff, volunteers, and service users.

You can register for a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination when you're invited to by NHS Scotland through their online self-referral service.

Those aged 18 to 29 (as of 17 May 2021) are currently being invited to register for their coronavirus vaccine.

If you're aged 30 and over you will not be able to self-register as these appointments are currently being processed. You'll receive your blue envelope in the post.

The registration service is available for 2 weeks, from 24 May until 4 June 2021. Vaccination appointments will start from mid-June.

This is a convenient and immediate way to register for your coronavirus vaccine and receive your vaccination appointment details.

You'll receive alerts and information digitally, rather than through the post. It will help to keep your contact details up to date and make sure you aren’t missed.

Who can currently use the registration service?

You're eligible to register for vaccination at this stage if you're aged 18 to 29 (as of 17 May 2021) and:

·        you live on Mainland Scotland (excludes Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles)

·        you have not already received your first coronavirus vaccination

If anyone you know is eligible but they don’t have access to the internet or a smartphone, they can still register for SMS and email updates by calling the national COVID-19 Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013.
