CAPS Independent Advocacy

CAPS Independent Advocacy is expanding their work in independent individual advocacy for adults. Up until now the service has only been able to provide adults’ individual advocacy to people aged from 18 years. Now, we’re able to reduce the lower age limit to 16 years, allowing us to work with younger adults for the first time.

The independent individual advocacy service is available to people in East Lothian and Midlothian who are experiencing mental health issues or who need support to have their voice heard because of their use of drugs or alcohol. This expansion is made possible by additional funding from The Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Funds.
