Allan & Lesley Alexander Story

Dynamic Duo Allan & Lesley, who are husband & wife have been volunteering for The Youth Befriending Service for some time now.

Lesley is a retired Home Economics, Craft, Design & Technology Teacher. Lesley has a real zest for life. Lesley enjoys a wide range of activities form Walking to Floral Art. Louise, our Youth Befriending Co-ordinator says, “Lesley is a great asset to our volunteering team bringing her baking skills, & wealth of life experiences with her. The young people she supports find her easy to connect with and she brings a fun element to the sessions”.

Allan is a retired Sales & Marketing Guru amongst many other hats he has sat under. With passion for all things sport he enjoys golf, rugby, football. Allan’s model train display is something to be seen, its spans the whole length of his attic and is a spectacular sight. Allan also brings the zest for life but most of all his positive mental attitude shines through.

Louise commented that this dynamic duo is a joy to work alongside. They both go above and beyond with their volunteer commitments to make sure the young people they befriend have positive experiences.
