The world around us has changed significantly since the 23rd of March when Scotland went into lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic. There is much uncertainty about our economic and social recovery but one thing that is certain is that the world as we know it will change. This presents us with an opportunity to forge stronger cross sector partnerships that shape a more equal and compassionate East Lothian, where all residents are considered equal and resources are targeted to ensure that equality of opportunity is the main driver.
We are delighted to have in attendance our 3 Keynote Speakers:
Calum Irving – Head of Third Sector Unit at Scottish Government - Why support and working in partnership with the Third Sector is essential.
Fiona O’Donnell – Chair of East Lothian Health & Social Care Partnership Joint Integration Board – Why Building on Partnerships and partnership working is essential for East Lothian from a Health & Social Care perspective
Sharon Saunders – Head of Communities & Partnership East Lothian Council – Why Building on Partnerships and partnerships made during Covid is essential
There is also the opportunity to participate in 7 themed breakout sessions:
1. Food Security
2. Unemployment and Employability Support
3. Care and Caring
4. Mental Health
5. Access to Advice Services, Financial Security, housing & homelessness
6. Volunteering
7. Digital Inclusion
Where we will consider 3 questions – What is working well, what could be better and What needs to change.
